Avian leukosis refers to several leukaemia-like proliferative diseases caused by the avian leukosis virus (ALV). Avian leukosis virus (ALV) infects mainly chickens but can also infect pheasants, partridges and quail. It belongs to the Alpharetrovirus genus of the family Retroviridae. It is divided into subgroups A, B, C, D, E, J and K, depending on their viral envelope proteins which determine immune response and host range. ALV p27 is a capsid protein and group specific antigen. When infected with ALV, p27 antigen will be present in chicken serum, egg albumen, meconium and cloacal samples.
this Anti-ALV P27 Antigen monoclonal Antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody produced by ascites and purified by affinity and ion-exchange, which can be used in ELISA and lateral flow assay for the detection of the ALV P27 group specific antigen. There are also commercial ELISA Kit and Rapid Test Kit based on this antibody, the Avian Leukosis Virus P27 Antigen ELISA Kit and ALV P27 Antigen Rapid Test Kit.
