Cattle possess IgM, IgG, IgA, and IgE molecules. The light chains of most bovine immunoglobulin molecules are of the λ type. The bovine IgG class contains three well studied subclasses, IgG1, IgG2a, which constitutes half of total IgG, and IgG2b. In colostrum, IgG is the main Igs, which is regarded as the quality standard for the related products then. Besides, IgG is also the main antibacterial substance that produced by the immune system. After vaccination or infection, the blood / serum IgG is then tested for disease management purpose.
This Anti-Bovine IgG antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody produced by ascites and purified by affinity and ion-exchange, which can be used in ELISA and lateral flow assay for the research of the bovine IgG or animal infection. It can also be used in the quantitative analysis of bovine IgG levels in milk, milk products such as colorstrum powder, baby formula, etc.
Commercial ELISA kit is also developed with this antibody, check the Bovine IgG ELISA kit for more information. If you also want to detect bovine lactoferrin in milk products, please check this Bovine lactoferrin ELISA Kit.
